Go Team VA is excitement! It brings together two of the most exciting categories of sport: Winston Cup Stock Car Racing and College Athletics in a state that is crazy about both! Go Team VA is a website, a race car, and a chance for college kids to enhance their education at some of the best schools in the great state of Virginia. Go Team VA gives Virginia Race Fans and college supporters of Virginia Tech, UVA, James Madison, and Virginia Commonwealth University a special reason to cheer as "their" own Winston Cup Car races in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series on Network Television in 2003 and 2004. Each University has designed their own Winston Cup car with their very own special college colors to create excitement both on campus and "on track".

Go Team VA is a promotion between one of Virginia's best race teams and four of Virginia's best schools. Sadler Motor Sports Inc. of Emporia Va. owned by driver/businessman Hermie Sadler in concert with Virginia Tech, UVA, James Madison, and VCU jointly designed a program by which the schools, at no cost whatsoever, could participate with Sadler in a select number of NASCAR Winston Cup races. Through this promotion, the schools would have an opportunity to individually work with their respective vendor partners and advertisers in a project to raise money and awareness for all parties involved. Each school, if they elected, could involve students to aid in the design and execution of the promotion and provide a "real world" experience in every phase of one of today's most exciting sports "NASCAR".
